Decorative DIY ideas

these ghosts are sure to be a fun project for you and your child. Or, just do them on your own. They are a great simple decoration for Halloween.

Supplies

• 1 skein of white yarn (any color will work, have fun with this)
• a small book
• scisors
• Buttons or plastic eyes
• pipe cleaners

instructions:

1. Start wrapping the yarn around the book, 20 times or more, depending on how full or thick you want to have your ghosts be3.
2. when you reach your desired thickness, cut off the yarn from the rest of the skein.
3. cut off another small strand of yarn to tie around the yarn you wrapped around the book. Make sure it’s secure for the next step.
4. once your yarn strands are securely tied together, gently pull the entire assembly off of the book. You should now have what looks like a thick ring of yarn that is tied off at the top.
5. Cut through the entire ring of yarn, carefully at the bottom of the ring.. make sure you cut it on the bottom, making sure both sides are even, to the string you tied at the top.
